Lemme Outta Here
When y\u{2019}all export songs & sets from OnSong, the filenames get auto-generated \u{2014} we\u{2019}re nice like that. These settings are literally just us telling the computer how to name your stuff. Riveting.
Filename Template
Wanna get all fancy & customize your filename? Sure, go ahead. By default, we slap a sortable prefix (called sort) on there & then title, separated by a dash \u{2014} because we\u{2019}re THAT organized. You can totally remix this with these variables:
- title is, shockingly, the song title.
- artist the name of the Awesome Peep who made it.
- capo the capo you\u{2019}ve currently got clamped on there.
- key whatever key the song\u{2019}s showing right now \u{2014} original or transposed, we don\u{2019}t judge.
- originalKey the key the song was actually written in (you know, before you got all wild with it).
- transposedKey the key you transposed it to (because your voice demands it).
- author whoever actually wrote this thing.
- ccli the CCLI number, if you\u{2019}re into that legal stuff.
- composer the musical genius who composed the work.
- copyright all that \u201Cdon\u{2019}t steal my stuff\u201D info.
- duration how long the song is, in seconds (aka \u201Ccan I finish my coffee before this ends?\u201d).
- lyricist the person who strung the pretty words together.
- number whatever song number you assigned to it.
- timeSignature the time signature (for the nerds).
- tempo the BPM (so you know how fast to panic).
- sort toss this in if you wanna append that sortable prefix to your filename.
Include Sortable Prefix
When you\u{2019}re exporting a whole set, OnSong throws a sortable prefix on the filename to keep everything in order. It\u{2019}s just a number padded with zeros \u{2014} nothing fancy. If you\u{2019}re not exporting as a set, or you turn this off, OnSong ditches the sort variable from the front of your template. Boom.
